Creating subcategory in cbb 3.08?

I would like to create a sub category for my forums in cbb instead of creating sub-forums. Is this possible?

its not possible. but you can create a forum and assume it as sub-category. no?

ok. I am trying to avoid the appearance of a forum with a subforum.

But I have several 'categories' I would like to link to from one link. Is that possible?

for example..

modules/newbb/index.php?cat=2,3,4

I have been experimenting but have not found a combination that works
