If I try to upload avatars, smilies or anything of an image nature I get this message. Doesn't matter if it is a gif, jpg or whatever. Also doesn't matter on the size.

What have I missed, and what do I need to do to fix this problem? I am running 2.0.16 thanks

HINT:
http://google.com then in the criteria box put the words that describe your problem - I used "invalid image file"
then you type the word site:xoops.org

That is how you get google to search just this site.
Using the word site with a colon and name the site you want to search. EXAMPLE site:xoops.org -- Works on anysite, not just xoops.
END HINT:

Google Search - invalid image file .. this site.

See link above, I followed the "Official XOOPS Website - Support Forums - XOOPS general usage ..." listing. It was solved for another person there.

Good Luck,
If you need more help let us know.

Well that would help if I were trying to get the image manager to work, I however am trying to upload SMILES and AVATAR'S, this fix does nothing to help me.

Any other suggestions?

hhttp://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=upload+AVATAR+site%3Axoops.org&btnG=Search

use upload avatar in the search criteria or other error msgs that relate to your problem

If someone knows they will come by and tell you. Meanwhile I would search for a thread that discussed a similar problem.

You might check the FAQ's on the left panel here.
