Install Error - Failed creating Table newblocks

HI All - Nubie Here

I have a SUSE 10 Server with Apache and PHP5 installed

MYSQL V5 is on a different server.

The install process is returning a failed on the creation of the newblocks table.

All other tables database access etc returned OK

How do I debug this.
Obviously, the application can contact the DB, it creates all the other tables

Where should I look, or has anyone seen this before

Can anyone tell me where to find a log file for the install process ?

Can anyone tell me if the database preparation on a remote host reqwuires any special configuration ?
