Hm, hi i don't actualy know if this if possible but for an example would it be prett hard to make for an example the center blocks of a theme drag and dropable. So i for example click on the latest news block in my home page and like drag it somewhere in the midle and it stays there. I know how to do this with ordinary and standalone things but i tried with my theme and it didn't work. Anybody got an idea? lets try! afcourse useing:

well on XOOPS Italia we are just trying to implement this features and in general Ajax implemmentations in Xoops.
At the moment all is in an alpha stage so nothing is viewable.. but if the creator, Dantom, will release some preview we'll set up kind of demo or else.

LOL, I was just working on this over the last week.

The concept for D&D has been here for a while now, however it was only in use with columns, and there were no containers. Blocks were not broken up.

So, here I find that all my work on this was pointless.

Anyway, the only thing that still needs to be worked on is writing the cookie to remember where users place there blocks.

I'd much rather have this at the administration side of the system, and not at the front-end. If I designed a page a certain way, the blocks are supposed to be where they are But using this to place the blocks for every page type, it will make creating decent pages real easy!

Of couse, the front-end option should be available, but IMHO not by default.

Thank You all for feedback on this...

Initially blocks were 100% movable but then i thought that some blocks originally set in side columns can look bad the center column thats why i restricted from left=>right=>left and center blocks to remain on center column (unless browsed with FireFox).

Code still needs some work if a theme like this should be made for generic users, as is now can only work in a custom design...maybe XOOPS 2.3 will be even more eXtensible
