I just switched over from the News Module to the AMS (Article Management System) Module.

One handy option in the News module preferences was that you could set the date format to show on news items. For example, I used 'j F Y' so the date would show as 20 February 2007 instead of 2007/02/10.

This option does not appear to have been included in the AMS module, so I can't change the date format.

I've tried to find it in the code so I can use my preferred format, but I just can't seem to find it.

Any help would be much appreciated. I visited the developers' site and I was going to post this question on their board, but they are not accepting new registrations at the moment.
