Why can't I upload larger images to ANY photo gallery module??

I need some help. I've tried 3 different photo gallery modules, including xcGallery, MyPhoto and XoopsGallery, and they all have the same problem... I cannot upload photos above 300K in size!

I've checked all the photo size limits and that's not the problem. In each different gallery, when I try to upload a larger photo, it sits there for a minute, and then just goes to "page cannot be displayed."

Anyone have any idea what might be causing this???

Did you include system admin preferences - image sizes in this check? Have you checked that the response Quote:
"page cannot be displayed."
did not a result of something else by turning on your php debug? You do have image libraries available for use? Have you made sure the mimtype is allowed?

Are you referring the Image Manager section in the Admin section? All that seems to do is let you create a new image category with a different size limit, which seems to be unrelated to the photo album. Am I thinking of the right thing here?

sounds like it's timing out.

what connection are you using? this could be due to php.ini directives which unless you have your own server you probably will not be able to change.
