I think we all try, if you have ever written anything well... it is done through a good briefing of key point to begin.......
With many of the people appearing to be weighing up the CMS system due to the competition...then reporting why they use XOOPS over others....

One of the thing I most like about Xoops, is how everyone likes moaning on here....this gives someone like me, always something to fix!

I don't understand you well Solo. I just thought it be ok to have a place where we could say what we like about XOOPS that already exists in XOOPS in oppposition to some conflictive threads I'v read; so I listed the things I like, it's not a wish list request since it's things I find XOOPS already has.

i like the XOOPS experienced user coming back into the site and contributing whatever they can. some may help newbies in the forum, some experts may develop new modules, some may dedicate some time in modding modules and some creative users make themes!

Ok, I'll give you my feeling about how the XOOPS project works.

2 aspects :

1) people develop application and share their work with other so that they can gather competences to enhance their production. Non developpper may contribute by testing, reporting bugs and eventually, suggest features. That's the community work.

2) people get inspirations from others work. Someone works on a specific code to enhance XOOPS referencement, for instance (metagen, url rewriting) and find a efficient solutions. Others get that new technic and apply it to their own production. That's the open-source work.

That's in my opinion, how XOOPS development, in the reality, works. I honestly don't remember any topic saying : "you, guys, should do this and that to improve Xoops" lead to anywhere concret.

Just my opinion...

.

Japanese style is the defining influence on modern day minimalism.

Onokazu XOOPS project success with version 1, 2 and know Cube
is also based on japanese style : simple, minimalist, Zen.

.
I like people more than machines or money. But that's me!
Lets do something good and great: Lets do open source!
