Hello!

I will ask a stupid question but usefull as I keep posting these forums, and you have to suffer my posts.

The only way to quote I know is this:

Quote:

Not a great quote.

How do you do to make quotes that I saw with scrollbars, background collor, etc ?

Thanks

Jordi

Re: how to make quotes

Gotta love you Biter - but I went 'huh' - try this:

When posting any debug messages please 'wrap' the message like this: Use the word 'code' in square brackrets [] and at the end put /code in square brackets. By using the code you create a box. The box will automatically get scroll bars when it reaches a certain size. To do colours and text sizes you also need the code tags. eg 'b' and /b for bold and color=0000FF (or whatever the code is for a specific colour) and /color for colour.

(Please don't get confused about colour/color - it's a habit of mine - being aussie colour is spelled colour...but to get it working in the code you may need the US spelling 'color' )

Now the question that comes up is where can I lay my hands on a simple guide for all these codes???

Well you don't really have to if you start with the manual 'code' and use the buttons above and then type /code in []. I can end up with this without knowing the codes but using the button above:

I love xoops
I love xoops
I love xoops
I love xoopsI love xoops
I love xoops
I love xoops
I love xoops
I love xoops
I love xoops

please note that code tags will always create a big box even for short quote

Also in case syntax highlighting is brought back at some point for using [ code ] tags the results may look aussie ... ahh sorry ... colo(u)rfull.

Thanks to all for the replys!

So now this is a vulgar display of quote

And this is a code quote
Full of colour
,
[
color=0000FF]colour and color!

Thanks, when I post code next time I will use code tags as it is easier for people to copy it.
