I'm using Amember (http://www.amember.com), script that supports many CMS, including Xoops. Works great for me.

And there is also a XOOPs module {url="http://products.thirdeyesoftware.com/modules/content/?id=13"]from ThirdEye for subscriptions[/url]

Lots of options, each with its own capabilities.

I couldn't find anything worthwhile for XOOPS either. I ended up using PositiveWare...

I have much the same thoughts as mactowknee but this one contains Budget, Billing, Time and Project management features in one.
