Hello.

I wanted to change the donation module and use the version 1.9 so I uninstalled old version and install the new one.

It seemed to be ok but I actually get an error when I try to test the ipn:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: getinstance() in /home/modules/xdonations/includes/common.php on line 36


Can someone help me out?

You can search for an FAQ on 'undefined function' as an error message. If this doesn;t help more information is required - see the read before you post link below.

Oops, sorry, I think I wrote my post too quickly >_<.

I've searched the net and XOOPS website without really find a reply.

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.14 and the module is xdonations 1.9.

PHP version 4.4.2
MySQL version 4.1.21-standard

About the part of the code which seems to be the problem at line 35 - 36, it's the following:

include_once XOOPS_ROOT_PATH . '/class/errorhandler.php';
$xoopsErrorHandler =& XoopsErrorHandler::getInstance();

I have the same problem.

XOOPS Version: 2.0.15
Module Name/Version: xdonations 1.9 beta
PHP Version: 4.3.11
MySQL Version: 4.0.27-standard-log
Web Server Software (Apache/IIS/Other): Apache/1.3.37 (Unix)
Operating System: Linux
Theme you are using: obscene_v3_3c
Custom template: Yes


Has anyone found a solution?

I have just tried xdonations with 2.2.3a-Final version installed on local server and IPN works properly!

So, I think that in my 2.0.15 version installed on remote server, IPN doesn't work because of changes made by me in some files for installing new modules or features.

But I don't understand which file or which module could be the cause of malfunctioning.


EDIT: Also, I have tried on new local installed 2.0.15 version, with only system and xdonations modules installed. Unfortunately, IPN doesn't work.

So, I think there are some problems with 2.0.15 version.

Since I think I cannot use this module in my web site, could anyone suggest me an alternative system working in a similar manner as xdonations?

How should I set /xdonations/ipnppd.php permissions?

They are 644 by default. It is correct?

Okay:

#1 - the instance error is due to the module being unable to find the XOOPS error handler. I have no clue what has changed in 2.0 series, as I haven't kept up with the development of XOOPS for well over a year. Something tells me that I was probably developing xDonations specifically for the 2.2 series...

#2 - xDonations was verified as working with XOOPS 2.2.3 RC1 (http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/project/?xdonations) last year, by me. If you see a "notice" error, notices in PHP are typically nothing worth worrying about.

If you want to use this module, I suggest using XOOPS 2.2.3. Additionally, the module is in use here on Xoops.org (note the right-hand side of this page), so you might want to check with the current maintainers of Xoops.org to get THEIR copy of xDonations (in case there were any changes that they had to make)
