Okay first i am using XOOPS 2.015 and i downed the forum xoops-module-cbb-306

Reading the instructions(that i have prob got wrong) i placed the frameworks folder in the basic XOOPS directory and the newbb folder in /xoops/htdocs/modules.

I also downed xoopseditor in xoops-editors-moon/class and put that in the /xoops/htdocs/class and still no forum?

Have i missed something please?

There are several things it could be. First make sure you install the CBB module in the modules admin area. Second, make sure you set the permissions for the forums Admin:Modules:Froum:Permissions. Other than that, I am not sure what it could be.

I am having some issues to. With the NEWS module, it wouldn't show anything because the default editor was wrong - I did not have that editor installed.

Check out the method to change the default editor.

Also make sure your Frameworks are properly uploaded.

I have my fingers crossed that this will work now.

Ah, here were the latest instructions:

Note the addition on the end. There seems to be a later version of Frameworks that we need to find and install.

Bugfix version with no new feature.

Update/Install guide:
1 upload the /Frameworks/ (make sure to remove /Frameworks/xoops22/ if you are using XOOPS 2.2*) and /modules/newbb/
2 upload /class/xoopseditor/ (need to download separately from http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/forum/forum.php?forum_id=1504)

Download:
http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/project/showfiles.php?group_id=1001

For any bug report or feature request, visit http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/project/?newbb

Note:
the module requires /Frameworks/, plz always use the latest verion of Frameworks:

Did it work? Have you a link to see it?

A link?

TaDa

Yep, it now works.

Now I am still having that $ problem on the other forum I am working with. Thought I had done all the same steps. I must have missed something.

I am trying a delete all the Template_C files on that one.

Okay first i am using XOOPS 2.015 and i downed the forum xoops-module-cbb-306

I downed xoops-frameworks-art and upped the frameworks to xoops/ which is the root so now we have xoops/frameworks

the newbb file from the modules in the xoops-module-cbb-306 was upped to the xoops/htdocs/modules is this right? But nothing shows, do i need an editor but if so which one and where?

Help and the is another donation in it!

first you have XOOPS root path, in your case it is
xoops/htdocs, right?

then the right structure would be
xoops/htdocs/Frameworks/
xoops/htdocs/class/xoopseditor/
xoops/htdocs/modules/newbb
