I am happy you finally fixed your problem. You seemed so desperate...

I myself had been going mad until snow77 said me the problem with templates_c, that was my problem to run it.

I think the developer of XK Editor should add a simple explanation like mine to its readme note or the docs.

If not, maybe add this or a modification of this to the Q&A.

Anyway, short instructions are the better. I also get very confused when I have to read too much explanations.

Anyone figure this one out?

In News 1.44 when I click post/edit articles I can use the Image Manager button. However, when you click the edit button on an existing article, you leave the administration area, and the article editing window opens up on the main page. When this happens, the Image Manager button does nothing.

Any ideas how to allow my users to be able to add images to existing articles?

Thanks for the helpin getting Koivi installed and working...just wondering if anyone else has come across this after installing Koivi.

When I try and edit system text boxes, like add a new block or a forum category, the text is not saved to the dbase. The error code returned is:

Warning: Missing argument 2 for xoopsformwysiwygtextarea() in file /class/wysiwyg/formwysiwygtextarea.php line 64

The suggested solution is good but it limits to certain modules. Why not have a global WYSIWYG editor...

I struggled with zis for long time ya then finally came 2.0.15 with the 'experimental' global editor and my life has changed (though there's still a bug or few).

If you install XOOPS 2.0.15 (A very simple upgrade process) then do the following to get the global editor:

Click to Download TinyEditor 1.0 beta plus all the plugins and relative patches for 1.0

Put all the plugin folders into tinyeditor/editor/plugins

Put the xoopseditor folder with it's files in xoops/class folder.

Follow all the patch instructions

Put the tinyeditor folder into the Modules folder

Edit line 74 in XOOPS class/xoopsform/formdhtmltextarea.php with the EXACT example array that is directly above that line in line 72

Overwrite class/xoopsform/form.php with the one fromfrom XOOPS 2.0.14

Go to your admin panel and install the module

Open the module's administration

Do the editor Settings then the Toolsets to add all the tools you want (some tools don't work though)

Then click Permissions and assign all you want

Now go to your Blocks and you will see a WYSIWYG Editor in place of the DHTML editor

The editor will be default for all modules. The problem that exists is it corrupts any existing PHP or JavaScript content so don't edit those blocks with it. I keep a copy of the original formdhtmltextarea.php in the xoopsform folder with .bak at the end and alternate when I need to place PHP/JavaScript blocks. A little tedious but well worth having the editor.

You will also need to reformat text as it will appear as one block of text. a simple way is to go to each page and copy the text then paste or manually reformat. You will also need to manually remove xoopscode tags from images using the HTML editor plugin and replace them with HTML img src tags, then your image will display in the editor.

Re: Really need some advise to get KOIVI or FCK editor running!

Thanks Jordi

Have been meaning to do this for some while.

One problem though, it hangs on the "thank you for your submission" page with Mozilla and Firefox although not with IE6 ?

Clicking the link gets you out and the post is there OK

Anyone else run into this issue?

My XOOPS is currently 2.0.9.2

PHP 4.3.10

I guess I should do the upgrade but this needs some planning as there are a LOT of modules and a fair bit of custom code to consider.

Re: Really need some advise to get KOIVI or FCK editor running!

This strange, have removed the editor as an option in NEWBB 2.01 but it still hangs forum admin preferences (whether changes are made or not) AND DHTML posts to forum?

Plus when logging out also.

Again no problem with IE6 which kinda T's me off, I would hate to have to recomend it over Moz, I really would, lol
