Very Frustrated with News Module - Please Help

I know I wrote about this before but thought I fixed it but apparently not.

Heres the scoop:

I have News Module installed but yet when I put on the Recent News Block everything is trying to link to alter8news module which isnt even installed. Though you look in the code and it doesnt show anything but modules/news.

Some of my sites work just fine others dont and I cant seem to fix it. I thought it had something to do with not upgrading but all subdomains are now upgraded.

Here are two examples;

Working right:http://psp.vgamenews.com
Not working:http://gba.vgamenews.com

Everything is installed the same way- so I am at a lost

PLEASE HELP!!!!

I have now totally deleted the News Module File downloaded a copy of the module again and then uploaded. Im still getting the same thing. 41 people have looked at this and not one has an idea?? please help

I'm not sure I understand what is going on at the site that isn't working. Do anonymous users have permission to view articles because....

You have a recent news block on the index page with a link that says "Testing this module". However, when I go to the News module, there are no articles. I don't know where "Testing this module" is coming from.

yes everyone has permission, when you go to click on the link is it showing that its trying to go to modules/altern8news/article.php?storyid=1.


I dont even have altern8news installed so why is it trying to go to that module??


EDIT: I see what your saying your saying now - this doesnt make any sense. Its in the news module that I posted that testing article. ANy suggestions??

Think I should delete the whole site and reupload and reinstall or are there other options??

I don't even understand where the article is coming from. Did you create this article using the News Module?

First try this. Create a new topic, then create an article under that topic. See if it shows up in your recent news block.
