how to add google analytics

i woul like to use the new google analytics but i have problems with it.

google writes that i have to add the script code

before the </body> - so i added it to my theme but google analytics cant find the code on my website.

so i mailed google and they told me that i should add it in the <head> part of my theme and after each <meta> but google analyticcs dont find it

so maybe someone have a solution for that.

make sure you clear all cached files in templates_c folder so your changes to theme.html will show.

i have delete the cached files and the theme is always up-to-date.

when i want to validate the status of the google code on my website, google says that he cant find the code.

but when i open a report then i see a result from the last few days.

Im having the same problem as krobi, except that its been less then a day that i installed the tracking code in my theme.html file, and its still giving me a Tracking Unknown...

I posted my question here:

Please let me know if anyone fixed that issue.
