Hello;

I am beginning to program in xoops....

why does the Class XoopsTopics exist?
I think XoopsTopics would be a class of the module news or other module

I agree with you 100% .

Traditionally, the XoopsTopics was used by the News module which was shipped with XOOPS versions prior to 2.0.14.

Although there are no references to XoopsTopics in the system module, it still requires by certain modules like AMS and News 1.44.
