Hi all, i've got this problem of my portal doesn't allow any uploads. This includes inside the newbb forum and the custom avatars.

For example, inside the newbb forum, when i tried to attach a picture to a post, XOOPS will return an error message as below:

Thanks for your submission!

Errors Returned While Uploading
Invalid file content

If the page does not automatically reload, click here.

I am very sure that the images are correct *.jpg. Tried various sizes, and checked every settings i may think of.

FYI, the same error message when i tried to upload custom avatars - "invalid file content". I'm using XOOPS 2.0.13.2.

In case any of you would like to simulate the error, please do so at my site - www.tinjau.com. Head towards the forum and try it.

Hopefully any of you might be able to help me with this problem.

sigh...

i enabled my debug mode and this is what it returns..

Warning [PHP]: getimagesize(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/tmp/phpo0j44H) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/tinjau:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in file class/uploader.php line 190

I am not sure this will help but go back into the modules and check again the settings for file types/extensions allowed. I am certain I had to ad .jpg to one somewhere - just can't recall exactly where. Unfortunately I can't be of more help becasue the php warnings don't mean much yet to me either!(except that there is something wrong!)

Backup your uploader.php and try the one from 2.0.13.1
..

Problem solved after i used 2.0.13.1's uploader.php. Thanks for the simple solution.

Xoops and it's community are the best!

i face the same problem. anybody have that file, uploader.php? i can't found it in sourceforge repo site for XOOPS 2.0.13.1. i tried uploader.php from 2.0.13.2, nothing happen.

actually i upgrade from 2.0.13.1 to 2.0.13.2 and then 2.0.14

don't know whether which version the problem start. for sure under 2.0.13.1, the upload problem is working well.

the mirror not working, i think it already remove support for this version.
