This program looks interesting...so I downloaded the application files and used FTP to place the files in the root directory of my website. Then the directions say "type 'yoursite.com' which I am assuming means open a browser and go to your site which I did...no installation process began .... am I misunderstanding something? Could someone please help me to better understand the installation direction. Thank you!

You need to copy all the files in the html directory to the root of your site and then in your browserhttp://www.yoursite.com/install to start the installation wizard.

No problem. Don't forget to remove the install directory when you're finished otherwise someone can come and run it again!

Please also take a look at the documentation site. You will find an installation guide and an operations manual available for download.

Have a look at the documentation site that MadFish has posted. It looks to me like you've not got the files uploaded to the correct place.

If your webserver has the files in (for example) /username/web/ folder for calling from www.yoursite.com then this is where all the html folder files should go. Calling the www.yoursite.com should then call /install/index.php automatically.

ok I have read the documentation manual and i have changed the unsipped and then uploaded folder to the name "xoops" as it said to do. The documentation manual then goes on assuming that everything was ok and does not address if it is not so that is no longer a help at this poing. I checked the folder location and it is where it should be. If I try to call anything from that folder through the browser, it just times out. I am wondering this...are you uploading individual html files or the entire folder?
