I discovered a problem with my site today - the theme disappears on the search results page (the results themselves are fine, its just the page is now quite ugly).

Anyone got any ideas what might cause this? Please run a search on my website and see what you think.

I've tried replacing search.php, updating the template, clearing templates_c but no luck.

Edit: Changing theme doesn't help either.

I have seen this happen before and this has happened a couple of times on this site too...but I can't help you with why - sorry - just letting you know I've seen this before.

I haven't seen this b4, but try overwriting search.php in the root with a fresh copy (the html is in the page...) and updating the system module... also would clear cache & templates_c for good measure.

Yep.

Any debugging messages?

So if overwriting doesn't help try disabling the modules bit by bit to check if the problem is in the search.inc.php for one of the modules.

If I remember correctly I managed to do something similar 1-2 years ago. I was trying to add a search to a module (and to the userprofiles themselves) that did not have that feature included. It was a lot of mumbo-jumbo. :) And for my needs I also needed tweaking userinfo.php. I notice that I receive a white page if I visit Oak's profile... or any other for that matter. Might be worth trying overwriting userinfo.php and updating the templates too.

Many thanks - I turned PHP debug and found a 'fatal error' in Extcal2. I have disabled the module for the moment and the search/user profiles are now working normally.

Got to figure out how to fix Extcal2 though...its one of my favourites :)

Hi,

Could you give me the error message you get on PHP debug mode ?

Thanks

Hi Zoullou

The error message in PHP debug is:

Fatal errorCannot redeclare class xoopspersistableobjecthandler in /home/enaca/public_html/modules/extcal/class/PersistableObjectHandler.php on line 13

There is one other problem that someone pointed out to me - while Extcal2 is active the user profiles give a blank page. This shows another error in PHP debug:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class xoopspersistableobjecthandler in /home/enaca/public_html/modules/extcal/class/PersistableObjectHandler.php on line 13

Things I have tried to fix it include:

1. Update module.
2. Clear templates_c
3. Reinstall Extcal2
4. Overwrite search.php with fresh copy.

If you have any ideas please let me know! Thanks for your attention.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay. This bug is fixed with eXtCal 2.0.3. You can download it on Zoullou.net.

Cheers
