I apologize if this has been answered somewhere already. Maybe someone can point me to it?

I am looking to see if it is possible to remove the comments and posts and such that a user leaves from being displaced on his/her profile?

Go into your admin section. Look for Preferences-->Extended Profiles-->General Settings. It's the first option on the page.

I think that you have to have a certain amount of posts before you can do that. Not too sure, though.
