Whats the difference between Newbb, the phpbb module made by bbpixel and the other forum modules?

Which would you say is the best?

Is there any other phpbb based forum modules?

I prefer CBB with PDF fuctions, the fact it is core as david says, it is intergrated well.

I have often pondered moving on to phpbb, as I use to have a forum running on it and do like it.
Yet given the fact that the XOOPS core upgrades and then you will have to wait for an update for x-phpbb, to make you secure, that held me back and I have stuck with newbb which was fine to start..... yet now with CBB when you use Koivi editor with it, it just takes the biscuit over PHPBB, you can make colorful post in second and easier then I use to find in phpbb.

The rate of evolution of CBB in comparission with phpbb now, also CBB wins hands down, well done PHPPP.

Some of the earlier versions of phpbb (current version is 2.0.20) had some pretty big security/exploit holes. Which has always made me shy away from phpbb.
