What is the MJ12bot/v1.0.7?

What exactly is the MJ12bot/v1.0.7? I know it hits my site, and XOOPS Protector blocks it, and it end up in my Protector log.

I googled the term MJ12bot, and it looks to be just a web search engine crawler, but XOOPS Protector must be blocking it for a reason.

the reason it blocks that searchbot is because it only allows a (small?) selection of bots to index your site. Check the robots.txt file in your site root for more info about which bots are allowed and which aren't.

Actually, the setting is in the Protector module preferences.

Check the 'Welcomed User-Agent' there. Also check 'Watch time for high loadings (sec)', 'Bad counts for Crawlers' and 'Action against high loading Crawlers' settings.
