How to recover a deleted post?

Is it possible to recover a post in the forum, deleted by mistake?

Usually it is purged from the database on deletion. The only way to actually get it back is if you perform regular backups so you can restore it.

Thanks, this was quick. I suspected something like this. Some user got clever and found a way to delete selected posts. No registered user have permission to do this, and I still am boggled on how this could happen. Any means to trace an illegal activity like this?

Server logs. Also, if you have Protector installed, it can provide some information. I would also recommend installing uservisit as it tracks every move of logged in members.

Thanks again. I know we are now off the original topic, but my next question will be, a link perhaps to install this uservisit movement tracer module, as I do not have it as a standard module, and/or protector? I know that the answeres may be already available somewhere on this site, if you can point me to it?
