I've a successful and easy install of Doc Manager. And I have uploaded the files to the repository and now I am testing to see whether the uploaded file is correctly downloaded I get the following error when I make an attempt to open any file which is uploaded on the site.

I don't know doc manager as a module but somewhere there you may have a setting for allowed file types - I had one ib WF downloads called 'mimetype management' and it did not include pdf...so I added pdf and all was well again. There was a link in the module I followed to here after typing in pdf...and i copied the results into the mimetype management screen. The problem was solved.

So...look for a mimetype setting somewhere in the admin of the module. HTH
