OK this is my firs try at building a XOOPS site so could you please let me know what you think as i have never even worked with HTML before

Not a bad first shot. I prefer less brilliant colors myself. You also have some spacing problems and font size variation that you might want to make consistent.

yeah i agree with rabideau, it is a nice first attempt, and im sure it will evolve to perfection quite soon.
