Hi, when I try to access extended profiles in XOOPS 2.2.4
I get this error :

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 78 bytes) in /www/class/smarty/Smarty_Compiler.class.php on line 696

Anyone knows what this means?

Sorry, bump, I really need an answer to this one, now I can't change or see profiles, not even my own profile

svaha,

I'm not sure but I think this error is related to the max memory a script may use. Do you have a lot of users on your site? Other than that I can't think of a reason XOOPS would need more memory allocated.

You might increase the max memory in your php.ini file. You will find this file in your root XOOPS directory. The line you want to edit will look something like this.

memory_limit = 8M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (8MB)

Change it just enough to see if this solves your problem. If this gets you up and running again you can figure out why you have a mem allocation issue.

The site I started after testing has now 10 users, so that would not be a problem I think.
The only 'thing' I did was switching from english to dutch language. On my testsite this went well with exception of one file that was not translated well, but on my 'official' site I have this error.

I've no idea what this is related to, so I tried all the things I thought could be done, like updating system / profile / pm module, deleting the cache/profile and the templates_c content, but the error stays there.

I cannot find a php.ini file in my XOOPS root dir?

This is the site here, the rest of the site is ok as you can see.

shaunbless,

Did you mean to say 2.2.3 and not 2.3?

When I uninstall the profile module and install again there is a problem with : creating newemail, it's duplicate?

I'm really stuck here, because I can't edit my profile anymore (same as the users of my site)

In reference to svaha's post just above, I ran into something a couple weeks ago similiar to this.

I went into phpMyAdmin and saw two tables that were marked as "In Use".

I selected those two tables and chose the repair option in phpMyAdmin. After that I was able to delete the tables manually and able to reinstall the module from the XOOPS Modules --> Administration menus normally.

Everythings been fine since then.

Thank you for your answer. I've checked the tables they seem to be ok, but it's an older version of phpmyadmin so I can't be sure about this.

Strange thing is that on my testsite all is ok, and I copied (ftp'ed) the same files to both sites.
