I've been wondering what this site (xoops.org) uses as far as versions and which modules are installed. I seem to be getting some buggy results with News 1.4 running on XOOPS 2.2.3. I can't edit articles with the webmasters group and the settings are up properly and I can't view comments by users. The permissions are set properly for both. For editing a article it tells me I have no permission to do so and for viewing comments it simpily gives me the following error:

Fatal errorCall to a member function on a non-object in /home/.tailspin/trakal/politikalgraffiti.org/index/modules/news/include/functions.php on line 319

I'm wondering if maybe I should have to install an older version of XOOPS, yet I don't see any in the 2.2.x series below 2.2.3. That doesn't sound like it should be the case, but I had installed 2.2.2 before and had no problems with it.

Or if maybe I haven't installed certain modules which News depends on. Thus far I've only got the Extended Profiles, News, and Private messaging modules installed. If so, why isn't this documented?

The fatal error thing doesn't come up anymore, but the permissions thing is still occuring.

OK, I got confused about the modules in the repository. There's a News 1.44 and a News2 module and I thought that they were different. Turns out that this was fixed in the 1.44 version.
