The physical path is the real file path

On windows it would be sumthing like:
c:\www\xoops\

On Linux it would be sumthing like:
/home/yahooID/xoops/

You will need to check with yahoo what the path should be.

Create a PHP file called 'findserverpath.php' with the contents below. Place it in your home directory and open it in a web browser.
<?php
print ($_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']);
?>
A thread is for life. Not just for Christmas.

OK guys I have tried all the suggestions & lazy badger you were correct with the directory being / I did that findhhost.php like Peekay told me and it came back with a / only so as you said I cant do that so does anyone have any suggestions that I can do with the site in order to get it to the xoop files that it needs to access?

Blessed Be

Yahoo usually starts you out with an index.htm or index.html file in your root directory.Thats what it looks like your site is going on at the moment.

Your pyshical path at the moment is probably something like thishttp://yoursite.net/xoopsversion/html

Xoops version meaning whatever file you uploaded to your hosting account that contain the html folder.You need the files contained within the html folder placed within the same folder that contains the current index.htm or index.html file that is currentlty running your site.Once those file are in the right spot you should be able to start doing something by just typing in your sites url otherwise it will keep using those files.

been awhile since i used yahoo so cant say for sure where your XOOPS files got lodged but they dont appear to be in your root folder.

I just had all the xoop files in the main directory and not in another... if that makes any sense? They are inhttp://yoursite.net/ which would be in my yahoo user names folder on the ftp makin it reflect tohttp://yoursite.net/
