I accidentally set the new registration to activation by webmasters.

But I can't find a way to activate it. I tried FIND USERS and found an inactive users but when I select it, a new page came out saying users not found.

Please help, I'm using versions 2.2.3

Thanks!

When you try to click on a member from 'find members' (list inactive) it should come up with a message user is inactive, do you want to activate?

No, there is no such message!

I have the same problem like jakeabiva.
If I search a user, which is not activated, the user is listed with a checkbox in the first column. But I can only send him an email by checking the box. There is no option to activate him.
If I click on the username to see his user profile an error raises like jakeabiva has still written, that the user cannot be found.

Dirk

Go to Modules ---> Extended Profiles

From there Search or List to get your user. Click Add.

Change to Active.

xoops 2.0.13.1/2 and I suppose also XOOPS 2.2.x

Strange thing though is that: The webmaster cannot check the fields the user has filled during registration. The webmaster needs first to activate the new useraccount before he/she is able to preview the given profile.

If you ask me it should be the other way around. If a user has registered and the admin has to approve the registration, he should be able to view the new INactive account first before approval.
The admin gets an email with activation link, but no preview possibilties.

Why is this and can somebody explain what the function (this way) is of admin approval?

Grtz., Shine

I agree with Shine.

Addionally:
"Go to Modules ---> Extended Profiles

This is no easy way.You have
to open the serach box,
to search the user,
to add the user to the list box in the search box,
to close the search box,
to select the user in the select box again,
and even if you activate the user manually (after 10 and more clicks), the user don't get automatically any email with the message that he is activated.
