hi im having trouble with this one i have set to 100x100 and no bigger than 35000 but they cant upload have i missed something out

Have you selected "Yes" for "Allow custom avatar upload?" on the same preference page?

yes i did in file commands do i have to have the uploads file set to 777

No in Preferences - User Info Settings.

Yes the uploads folder needs to be writable. Do they have an upload button in avitars. Any error messages?
