people coming to my site are having trouble registering on it. they keep getting this error: "could not register new user". i thought it was because their computer not accepting cookies but i cant recreate it like that.

the site is http://www.alumni80.com

has anyone had this same problem?

Most commonly, this is caused by a HTTP_REFERER being blocked by a software firewall.

The FAQ section has guidelines on this issue. Search for HTTP_REFERER and you should find something.
