Hello,

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.5 and our site is running on a IIS-server.
We use the Document Management System (DMS, version 1). Users need to login to be able to view documents in the DMS.

Sometimes we send emails containing the url of a specific document (likehttp://test.gent-centrum.be/modules/dms/file_retrieve.php?function=view&obj_id=13). When a user clicks the url, he must login, but after login in the document doesn't open, instead I get a blank page (http://test.gent-centrum.be/modules/dms/file_retrieve.php).

I tried simplified_url, but it doesn't seem to work, probably because of the IIS-server?

Anybody knows a solution for this?

Thank you very much!

I found out this problem is solved using XOOPS 2.0.13. So, I'll upgrade.

I have a similar situation, but cannot make a link to any specific documents, all the URL links I can find for dcuments end in ...modules/dms/index.php# the document ID is hashed out. I am also using version 1 - how could I find the document ID to create a Hyperlink??

I am using XOOPS 2.2

When I use Internet Explorer, I can see the complete url in the adress bar after opening the document (when documents open in the browser). In Firefox I can't see it.
And I think you can send the url for a document to yourself or others by using the routing function (in DMS configuration).

Thanks jan,

I was using firefox which uses word externally to open the document. With IE it opens up the word doc embedded in the browser and I can see the full URL.

hmmm. IE does have its uses after all...surprising.

Firefox download manager lets you check URL of your downloads.
You only have to right click and select "Properties", the you can select the URL, copy and paste in the desired place.

(Sorry about my english, it's not my mother language).
