This is the first problem i have had instaling any module, any help would be much appreciated.

I uploaded the CBB zip to my module folder and extracted the contents. The notification i got was that all was well but when I went back into the module folder there were no new files. I assumed that maybe they had overwritten the old forum so tried updating the module in my site admin area. Again, no change.

I must be doing something basically wrong here but I can't for the life of me gues what. The files havent gone anywhere else and I have tried extrating the files again, but I am told the files already have been extracted.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

No subfolder "newbb" at all?

Did you use newbb previously? Do you need to keep the old content?

If not ...
- deactivate newbb - if active
- rename the folder
- extract the cbb archive again and try to install it then

I had newbb active but with no content. i will try deactivating and your suggestions later... will repost in a few hours.

That did the trick good and proper!
