I've heard of this before....This definitly needs some serious looking into.

I would agree this definatley needs looking into. As far as i can tell and the only explanation I have for this is that they managed to alter files in cache or templates_c and inserted the links that way because on my other site they had one of there links on the redirect page which tried to load a virus the virus got stored in temp internet files but I deleted it. My other XOOPS site also had tons of blank pages but as soon as i deleted the files in /cache and /templates_c the site returned to normal.

I hope one of the developers or security experts can look into this so we can find a way to stop it from happening again.

I am having a similar problem and XOOPS have stopped to send e-mails to my users, my site is www.latitudemexico.com you can see a small problem with the alignment of blocks. Any clue on how to proceed?
