Hi ...

I have conducted a Poll using XoopsPoll. It has expired and now I want to view the detailed results of who voted which way.

I "assumed" once the poll expired I could click to View Log and see the details.

But all I get is

"View Log Sorry, not yet. "

What am I doing wrong?? All permissions are set correctly as far as I can tell.

I am stumped. Any help or suggestions???

Thanks
Peter

Kind of stupid having a "View Log" option when there is no "log facility".

First blatantly "stupid" thing I've experienced coming out of XOOPS.org.

Thanks anyway. Guess I will have to go hunting for a module that will work the way I want/need it to.

Thanks
Peter

The only way to view the log in xoopspoll at the moment is directly in the database through something like phpmyadmin. The log viewer was never added to the module.

This is exactly the reason I made a post a few weeks back asking for people to take the initiative and complete this module...

i support this (i think there have been a lot of discussion to have this 'key' module devepoled further and improved).

have tried that myself, giving up, express my gratitude and appreciation to all the developers, i don't have the skill to be a programmer

Don't anyone get me wrong ... I think XOOPS is a fantastic CMS and I really appreciate all the hard work the developers have put into it over the years.

Unfortunately, I am in the same boat as karedokx ... I don't have the knowledge to be a programmer either.

But, in my mind ... if there is no function to "View Log" ... then the option to do that should not be displayed. Period. If I knew I couldn't view a log via the Admin menu beforehand ... I would not have used the module but sought out something else.

Just my uneducated opinion
Peter

Look at this topic thread for a info on a hacked version that should do what you want... or you can get the hack here (but you'll have to register first) - although I haven't personnally tried the hack. I believe the hack lets you look at the log in the admin panel.
