jdseymour, does this mean dude that anyone who wants the news from the news mod on my site should paste the .com/backend.php text into where they want it on there site? and if so, when I update(add) news articles to my sites news, does it update them aswell?

Many Thanks

Re: Enabling RSS

The backend.php URL they would use in their RSS reader so they can get any news updates without actually having to visit your site. They will just get the taglines, not the full story (unless you do not use the tagline feature), so they will visit the site to read what they want.

Ah.. I understand, thanks dude... but as you know, people have to register to enter my site so, would this by-pass that rule I have?

Re: Enabling RSS

Not sure, RSS itself is an open syndication, so anyone should be able to read the updates, but when visiting the site they would need to register to get the full story from the page.

Re: Enabling RSS

Here is an example from this site, goes in the head of theme.html:

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS" href="https://xoops.org/backend.php" />
