Security is my job, and my IP is checked ever when I’m here.

Knock knock before enter.

My last alert.

Algumas pessoas são tão burras, que nos fazem sentir como burros também ao tentar explicar certas coisas. Meu Deus, como podem? Tentarei explicar que todos somos um, segundo Deus:

All is One for God,
and sorry for my 'Bad Company'.

I Can Share or Not My XOOPS Account.
Best regards,

Àggelos.

Well, if you wan't to avoid IP checking, then you might want to consider not to use the internet at all. IP's are checked all over the 'net.

What about this? Its a security bug or a hosting vulnerability?

these look like vulnerabilities. But unlessd we know which versions these sites run, we cannot address them. That iswhy we recommend people use the latest version of xoops, alwayas.

It's more likely those modules that caused site hacks. If i remember correctly, some of these modules are updated with proper security patches.

the IP address is part of the current IPv4 protocol, on which most internet communications is based. Also, it is used in the original HTTP 1.1 RFC, making it one of the standard components that is being sent with each request you make. In fact, it is necessary because the webserver needs to know where to send the result to. It's as basic as that. So, yes, your IP address is checked whenever you're here. Also, the XOOPS system uses the IP address to block certain users (mainly the protector module does this). All this happens in accordance with the XOOPS.org Privacy Policy, which is part of the Terms of Use you agreed to when registering for this website, as well as agreed to by using his website.

So, Mr. Security (cracking websites is not security expertise IMHO), you gave your IP address all by yourself, out of your own accord, in accordance with the policies we have (which are based on the OSDN policies, so it's all in the spirit of open source).

You can share your account with Mikhail if you want, we don't monitor the IP address on that level (we haven't banned Mikhail's IP, as it would be useless). But, I'd like to point you to our XOOPSiquette page, which lists the rules and guidelines for proper behaviour on this webiste. Rules which Mikhail blatantly and continuously ignored. The consequences are simple and clear, and they were all along.

These same rules and guidelines apply to you and everyone else. Ignore them, and face the consequences.
