I need a module to make XOOPS a school's website so i need something like a califications manager, where the teachers group is allowed to edit students grades and students are able to see their notes in some private section.

too complicated?? take it as a challenge!

hey does anyone know which classroom module is better
OBs classroom or modle?
ive tried to install modle and its a bear. any suggestions

Hi

I tried Obs classroom and didn't like it and it doesn't do anywhere near as much as moodle. I had some difficulty installing moodle 4 XOOPS but the installation version has since then been updated. I ended up with a moodle install outside of my XOOPS website - it can be found at Vcal @ Jensclassroom

I use this for senior students at my school. I have not as yet tried the latest version of moodle4xoops as a result - and my school is trying to put moodle into our intranet so I have been waiting for them. Once they do this I might play with moodle more for my own site.

I would suggest you do more research. Moodle has it's own community of users and contributors..check them out. Obs Classroom appeared to me to be limited by comparison.

Obs_Classroom doesn't try to be anywhere near as complete as Moodle - so if that is your need, then Moodle or Moodle4XOOPS is the way to go.

Just to inform you, regarding the Moodle4XOOPS, till now I?ve never suceed on any install try, unfortunatelly, though.
