Dear core devs,

One of the most cool ideas using XOOPS is to distinct content with blocks and choose to show them or not in different modules.
Once in forums I have spotted the idea to organize content not by modules, but by user creatable CONTENT SUBJECT.

Now it is:

I have block called: MYBLOCK
Select it to show in: NEWS, NEWBB, TOP PAGE
Not to show in: WF-CHANNEL, LIAISE, XGAL etc...

New feature:

I have block called: MYBLOCK
Select it to show in: NEWS, NEWBB, TOP PAGE
Not to show in: WF-CHANNEL, LIAISE, XGAL etc...

AND

THE BLOCK IS ASSIGNED TO ONE OR MORE CONTENT SUBJECTS!!!
I have content subject: LINUX, WINDOWS, XOOPS etc...
I choose to show this block in: LINUX, WINDOWS
NOT to show in: XOOPS, etc...

Now it is:

I have news topic: SOFTWARE
I have downloads section: SOFTWARE
I have gallery album: software

Problem:
I cant simply connect them between to organize contextual browsing

New feature:

THE MODULE ELEMENT IS ASSIGNED TO ONE OR MORE CONTENT SUBJECTS!!!
I have news topic: SOFTWARE
I have downloads section: SOFTWARE
I have gallery album: software

Solved problem:
Can organize the presentation of content by ordering page elements (blocks, module articles/items) according to the CONTENT SUBJECT

As I understand, the biggest issue is all the modules need to be rewritten, but for the very beginning all the content of modules could have the CONTENT SUBJECT "N/A" or "not specified" or "All"

Huge benefit:
1. Distinctive block, content ordering by modules AND topics!!!
2. Assign entire content lines: news, pictures, downloads to a topic!!!
3. Leave Mambo/e107/*nuke/phpwcms faaaaaaaaaaaaaar behind :)))

What do You think?

p.s. sorry for English*/

AFAIK:
1. "Global Category" planned|discussed for XooSphere
2. It will not (sadly) be better, than currently existent "taxonomy" in Drupal
