I added the XOOPS protector and installed it perfectly. Then I shut down my browser and went back to get on and now when I login and try to go to any of my pages it says you do not have access to this page, even my Administration panel!
need help!

Have you used the rescue url that came in the readme of your protector module???

think its http://www.yourdomain.com/modules/protector/rescue.php

Then it will ask you to enter a password that you put in to your protector admin panel.

hope that helps

Maybe it is not the antidos, bcuz I just noticed that at the end of the url it looks like this: http://www.myurl.com/xoops/index.php?PHPSESSID=c27d3dd3d670b48930607f6bf115be9e

usually when u see the phpsessid in the url it means that you have cookies blocked..

check that your browser is allowing cookies or whether your firewall is blocking them..

Iam accepting all cookies and I tried it with my firewall off.
I now remember that I checked in my profile to make username cookie for 1 year or something like that. Could that be the reason?

i wouldn't think so, that function only puts your username into the username input box in the login block.. it doesn't change any permissions or anything..

do you actually see the link for administration menu in the user menu section when u login?

Yea, it shows up in the user menu, so I hovered over it to make sure the link was right and the link is pointing to the right place. When I click on it is says "You Do Not Have Right To Access This Area" then it takes me back to the index.php and logs me out.

I do not know what is wrong with it.
