phpAdsNew need a separate DB?

The installation documentation seems to be dealing with using phpAdsNew as an adserver.

Since phpAdsNew has been incorporated into Xoops, should we set it up as separate tables or should we create a separate DB.

I'm going to set up a separate DB, but I was just curious.
