Hi...

I want to be able to include links to pdf files within articles that I post on my site. I am a bit unsure how to do this as teh download section only seems to cater for downloads from website urls....

Obviously I would have to upload my pdf files to my site but to where and how would I link to them from within the site? The same applies to if I want to put in a link to another page on my site.

Thanks for any help on this...

Trinilynn

The root folder for my web site has a folder named pdfs.

Any URL to a pdf I make, regardless of where the link is coming from, can point to this folder like so:

Description For Example

Maybe I don't understand your question and am over-simplifying, but I hope that helps.

Re: pdf files....

so...we can simply create a folder called 'pdf' within our XOOPS tree. Upload PDF's to this folder. When we refer to them use their URL

eg
www.mysite/xoops/pdf/mypdf1

Correct?
What would be the appropriate CHMOD for such a folder?

Thanks

That looks correct. 644 should be fine.
