I want to, but had to have a full fledged module working last week. Can't hold back any longer because of partnerships and promises I made to them.

Thanx for your suggestions though. Perhaps you can make a conversion script? So I can reevaluate later on?

Ah, no worries then. We have a conversion script to go from News (all versions) to AMS, but that is all we have plans for. Perhaps someone might like to contribute a conversion script at some stage, as I'd be more than happy to add it in.
