ie vs. mozilla and permission denial

i am just now learning how to use xoops. i have installed everything correctly and everything works fine when i use mozilla. however when i use ie, after i login and try to go to a module or any link, i get the message....sorry, you do not have permissions to access this page.

i need to make it work with ie also bec. that is what most people use. does anyone know what is going on?

thanks

i found out what it was. i was masking my web address, because i am using domain forwarding. when i unmasked it ie worked fine.
