Yes, webdav is stand for "Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning".

I am very new to xoops. and now my company is using "sharepoint" for CMS and file keeping, i do not have any idea this function should be come from XOOPS core or module, but i only know this is a very nice feature for people edit files (such as ms-word, excel or openoffice file) directly via http and very good for intranet usuage.
(of course security is also concern.)
