When someone registers, how can I make it so I can put in other fields, for example there real name, which is in there user profile, also, how can i add a field to the user profile and registration? I want to add whether or not they attend a certain school.

I think this is known as 'hacking' a module. I've never done it myself yet because it always looks a bit daunting, but you have to adjust your template and write some php to tell your MySQL server (or whatever database you use) what values to store in what fields. It's not very easy I don't think, unless you know what you're doing. You may be able to pay someone a little bit of money and they may change it for you, or they may do it for nothing.

What will probably happen now is someone will really embarass me by illustrating how easy it actually is!!
