Im lost.
This is probably so obvious that I am just not seeing it.

EXACTLY where is my php.ini file

And HOW and WHERE EXACTLY do I turn register_globals on or off?

Please draw me a map or something, Ive done searches and read faqs and whatnot but I am just not figuring this out!

Thanks!

Re: bonehead php.ini questions

the easiest way to find out where your php.ini file is located is to create a new file in the same directory as your XOOPS files, called phpinfo.php. In this file add the following:
<?php
phpinfo
();
?>

Save your file, then access it using your web browser. Look for a setting "Configuration File (php.ini) Path".

Can you briefly describe the environment where your site is installed?

Are you running this from your own machine, or from a web hosting company?

What type of server is it (Windows, Linux (any flavor), BSD)?

If it is a Windows server, is your server running IIS or Apache as its web server software?
