Hello Xoopers,

Where does one go to to edit files within the shoutbox module?
Which files do I edit? I am using Dreamweaver. I'd like to change
color messages and background. Thank you!

Delete the CSS and Shoutbox will look like your theme.

Hi Bahatee,

Thanks, for responding the problem I have I am using the theme
Dana Red, the shoutbox background is of the color dark grey which
is the theme back ground. I'd like to change the color back ground
of the shoutbox so I can better see messages posted.

At the moment all messages appear as dark blue which sort of blends
into the dark grey background.

I am also using the same theme and have the same problem. Were you able to find a solution for this problem? Thanks

The final version of Shoutbox v.3 was just released. This update makes it very easy to change the background color of just the shoutbox.

There is a file named shoutbox.temp.css in the style directory. Rename the file to shoutbox.css and edit it as you please. (The readme.txt file in this new version has these instruction in it.)

How can I modify the background of the popup but leave the block on the site as it is? ie controlled by the .css file

I would like to make the pop up look a little like Excel or Word as many of my visitors use the pop up at work and minimise the the main site.
