Hi,

This is what i get when i try to install the news 1.2 module.

I do not know how to create table in SQL. Can somebody help.

You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'catname varchar(40) NOT NULL default '', PRIMARY KEY (storyid), KEY idxstor' at line 1

Thanks,
Kriegerman

Do you already have News 1.1 installed?

I had deleted it from my admin section and from my server, but I guess I did not do a good job!

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.7

Did you delete it, or de-install it?

So you uninstalled News 1.1 using the XOOPS module admin control panel, and then deleted the physical files from your website?

You are getting n SQL syntax error, which doesn't make a great deal of sense since News 1.2 is used quite heavily. Regardless, to get to the next step if you could turn on your MySQL debug block from your XOOPS admin panel in general preferences, and then try running the script again. In the MySQL debug block you should see a list of all the MySQL commands, and somewhere in there one of them should be red which indicates your error. Copy ALL the red text and post it here.

You should NOT have to edit anything in the SQL file. News 1.2.1 is working in hundreds (more likely thousands) of XOOPS sites. Lets debug BEFORE we start editing anything. Have you got the MySQL debug error?

I have put my MySQL debugger and there was no errors showing. But when I put my PHP debugger that is when I get the error

Warning [PHP]: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in file class/xoopsform/grouppermform.php line 255

thanks
