Look at this page :http://www.tplpc.com/modules/tutorials/cours-111.html

The browser title should be : "Astuce de test - ne l'ouvrer pas" but the "l'ouvrez" is replaced by "l&#039ouvrez".

How can I solve this problem?

Hello I have the same problem for title and the windows of javascript's alert.

I can not find any information about that. No file in XOOPS and modules is written with the code [ ' ; ] ...

Where is the transformation from ?
What can I do to correct it ?
Is it a XOOPS problem ?
the problem appears on Microsoft Internet Explorer and on FireFox !

Well, i don't see any problems on the page in question. I'm using maxthon as a browser on Windows XP SP 2, and no problems with FireFox or IE. So i don't understand what your problem is.

That's right there is no problem in the page linked by the sdamain's post. It was on 2004/9/2 8:27:02 that he had the problem and now I have it ... I'll try to get in touch with him to know how he resolved this.

It sounds as if you all are having problems with quotation marks/apostrophes/accents. It's a common thing and it's due to the evilness of magic quotes.

Thanx a lot for your help.
But in fact I guess my problem is not exactly the same.
in the 'phpinfo.php' file the 3 magic_quote types are off.
The problem I have is only with title bar where is written the content of the <TITLE> tag. and with the javascript alert pop-up .... the accents work but only the "apostrophe" -> ' appear with the code " & # 0 3 9 ; "

If you have any idea ...

Hello, no news from sdamian ... nevermind.

My web site was running on local server with the EasyPhp's solution. I don't know why but the default charset for the MySql databases is latin_swedish_ci ; maybe the problem comes from that ?
Does anyone know how to modify the default charset in MySQL (phpMyAdmin) ?
