I hope someone here can help me. I'm at my wits end. I'm trying to set up a new website for my church. My pastor really likes the look of the horizontal dhtml menus. I tried without success (so far) to get tigra working (plus, it appears that it only understands absolute positioning, and I need relative). I tried building a menu with the Coffee Cup DHTML menu builder. It creates a ton of code that goes directly into your page, anywhere within the body. Menu works with IE and Firefox. I pasted the code into my theme.html file (not correctly positioned yet, but it's on the page). Showed up fine in IE, but does not show up at all in Firefox. I put just the menu code in a separate html file, and it works fine with either browser.

I have to have this site completed before Sunday morning. I still have a lot of content to put in, but it won't matter if I don't have a working menu. If anyone could take a look at it, I would sure appreciate it.

The site is at http://www.dconline.org. The site is closed (pastor let the new url leak early), but I have created an account for you to log in with - test / test.

The menu code is pasted in directly after the tag.

To see the menu working in mozilla / firefox, you can go to menu test and see it in action.

If anyone has any suggestions on something else that would provide the needed funtionality, I'm open to that as well. I just need to get something working fast.

Thanks in advance.

John

Try visiting: this site - as your html seems to have a few errors... perhaps this is upsetting Firefox?

I have the same problem as mentioned above, I would like to create drop down menus horizontally. I also used Coffee Cups DHTML menu to create drop down menus, it gives me a lot of java scripting code to put in. I made a center block and put the code in it. It dosent work properly.

I want the horizontal menu exactly similar to this website:

Please Help

Well, if you view the page source it may give you some idea how he achieved it:

Thanks for the quick reply.

I am confused how to create something like this.

From the source this is the script for the DHTML menu:

I could copy the same thing for mine here

But how do I create something similar to style.css, coolmenupro.js and menuitems.js

Thanks.

deepti,

I tried using CoffeeCup as well, and in addition to havin gproblems with it, it made my page very large, which would be a problem for people with slow connections. The problem I had above was using Tigra menu. I believe there is a workaround, but I didn't find out about it until I had already switched to COOLjsMenu Pro, which worked great for me. You can find it at http://javascript.cooldev.com/scripts/coolmenu/.

Good luck.
